
John (Jack) E Madacsi
John was born Sept. 26, 1913, in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Theresa Kovach Madacsi. Often called Jack by family members, he grew up on the West side of town and Graduated from Chaney High School and attended Youngstown College. He was a tool & die maker at Youngstown Metal Products, Sheet and Tube Works retiring in 1976 after 30 years of service.

SOPHIA MADACSI
1915-2005 Sophia was Born on Worthingtom Avenue in Youngdtown, considered the neat North side of town, also known as Brier Hill. A prolific artist specializing in oils, she started painting seriously later in life after her family departed the Madacsi nest. She liked experimenting and also dabbled in water color, acrylic and drawings. She was an inspiration to the rest of the family to be creative in any media!

JOHN (Jack) P MADACSI
John was the first of the Madacsi children. He was always an excellent student in grade school, high school as well as College. After Graduating from Youngstown College with a BS in Chemistry he served 2 years an officer in US Army Chemical Corp. He also acquired a master’s degree in Philosophy and Theology while studying for the priesthood in New Orleans, Louisiana.

PAUL A MADACSI
Paul was the second child of the 6 Madacsi children. Growing up he loved playing sports more then anything, and had a very competitive nature. He loved hanging out with school mates and friends and if there was a black sheep in the family, it was definitely Paul! Always getting into trouble for doing those things his father told him not to do. Paul also liked workoing and making spending money! Some of

David P Madacsi
David was the 3rd Madacsi child and considered the brain of the family by his siblings. After graduating from Youngstown State with Honors, David went on the earn his Masters degree from The University od Dayton and then A PHD in Nuclear Physics from the Iowa State University.

Dona M Madacsi
Dona was the 4th child and first girl to join the Madacsi clan. In school she was a high achiever and studied hard. While at Youngstown State University she workes as a programer in the admissions office and continues to work full timefor the University following graduation.

James (Jim) Madacsi
Jim was the youngest of the Madacsi boys. After a couple od semesters of College he decided to join the army. He was proud to be a soldier and to served tour in Viet Nam. He has several interesting and harrowing stories of that part of his young life. Shortly after returning from active duty Jin married Cathy Hughes and they had 2 daughters, Alanya and Shannon.
