He earned both of these advanced degrees while on full scholarship! 

As a child, David always liked to show off! 

During his Ursuline High School  years, David was quite the dapper man on campus!

For many years professor Madacsi taught Physics at the University of Connecticut. While there he became a patron of the arts and was instrumental in founding the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery at the University of Connecticut, Groton Long Point. 

David is now retired from teaching and spends most of his time on light research as well as art projects. Known as the king of found objects David has had numerous atr exhibits using this as well as other media.

David's son David Jr. is married to Karen Pearson Madacsi and they have one son, Max. Currently they are residing in the Denver, Colorado area. David's daughter Christia is also married and she and her husband Clay Hoffman have one daughter, Taylor. They are currently living in Austin, Texas.
